The term "Monkey Suit" has been used to announce a man in a formal jacket attire or the complete ensemble of a Tuxedo. Some say this term came from Monkeys dressed up with organ grinders in the 1920's to 1940's going around asking for money. Then another tidbit was this I found, that in 1876 it was a term coined for a child's outfit in 1914 it changed into a very formal or flashy uniform, such as military or baseball. Then in 1920 it showed up in the Saturday Evening Post as formal dress attire. Either way he fits the Song from ZZ Tops, "Sharp Dressed Man"
